Training in Islamabad
On behalf of DW Akademie I travelled with my colleague Dennis Leiffels for one week to Pakistan’s capital Islamabad. My mission: Training of radio journalists in video making for a future project of FM 100, Pakistan’s first private radio station. It was quite interesting and challenging as we started from scratch. But after five days most of the ten participants managed to film with their smartphones and edited on Sony’s Movie Studio Platinum. It showed that it depends not only on training but also on a homogeneous equipment. Different laptops, different smartphone and different accessories made production flow tricky. In real conditions that would mean a loss of time. But therefore we made this training.
